Do not use Microsoft Word for resumes, as it is slow and difficult to work with.Word has become more user friendly over the years. I prefer the more interactive interfaces, such as Internet Explorer, because it is easier to find my way around. In addition, I can use my keyboard and mouse to navigate through menus and perform basic functions.You can navigate the Microsoft Word program by using the arrow keys on your keyboard. The program allows you to view the options that are available in the menu at the top of the screen. To make changes in the menus, use the delete key on your keyboard. You can even expand the options in the sidebar or expand the entire menu using the CTRL key on your keyboard.Another way to navigate the Word program is to use the F5 key on your keyboard. This key has several functions, such as home, which brings up the Home tab, where you can select a certain option a nd return to the Home tab. Then you can select a document at the left side of the screen or select a function on the menu in the bottom-right portion of the screen. For example, you can select File and then Look Up to go to the search option in the menu.Home is useful because it makes it easy to find the documents you need to view. For example, if you are trying to look up the contact information for your company, you can open the Contact option and press the HOME key on your keyboard.Then you can see the letter options for employees. Select the M option. There is a space for you to enter your information. You can type your name, mailing address, phone number, email address, or any other information you want to include in your resume.Once you are done entering the information, you can press the ENTER key and the text box will populate with your resume. Now all you have to do is copy the text box and use it as the template for your own resume.If you are having trouble typing your inf ormation into the text box and are unable to select the drop down menus, you can click the button called 'Edit' to change the size of the text box. For the most part, the keystrokes are the same as you will use to get information on your resume when you are using Microsoft Word for resumes.
